I would LOVE to win Trust Agents. I read Brogan’s stuff on a daily basis and he just has that “duh” factor to everything he says (Like “Duh…that just makes sense. Why didn’t I think of that?!). He’s a great communicator.
Of course, I’d normally say that I’d love to win Crush It too, but I’ve already read it. AWESOME book.
Thanks for the review Shama. I am about 3/4 of the way through Trust Agents and love it. Very insightful book but I’m always looking for new material to sink my teeth into so your video review was perfect. I’ll look into Crush It! for this holiday season!
I haven’t read either book, but I plan on picking both up. I work for a small agency in the college town of Lawrence, Kansas, home of the Kansas Jayhawks. Rock Chalk Jayhawk! I work with about 30 clients on their websites and social media platforms. These seem like two great books that I could learn a lot from.
I just ordered Trust Agents, but would LOVE a copy of Crush It! Also, the new website is great – keep up the good work Shama & I also can’t wait to get a copy of Zen Marketing.
I would be thrilled to win a copy of Crush It! My husband is a gourmet chef, and has been running a catering business part time since he graduated from culinary school in 2005. Food truly is his passion & we are in the process of trying to cash in on it! We got married just over a year ago, and where he brings the creativity and food expertise to the table, I love finance and PR! We make a great team, and are steping out to make this our full time endeavor. We believe now is the time and our harnessing all the resources we can lay our hands on!
I found your site quite a while ago, and subscribed right away to your blog, which I greatly enjoy, BTW.
I just picked up Chris’ book at the library, and I know I’m going to enjoy it, so I sure would like a copy of my own. (I just bought two of Gary’s books, so am struggling with which to ready first!–oh what troubles :-> )
Shama, As much as I love winning, I don’t want or need to win this time because I have both books. I’m commenting because I just wanted to share how much I love them both. Crush It was amazing. I was sorry to have it end. I’m in the middle of Chris’s book and am savouring it just like a novel. What a good read. Both guys are genius!
I’d love to win a copy of Trust Agents. I want to learn how to increase trust with my company’s followers and how to build good, strong business relationships. Thanks!
Shama,
I am just getting started in internet marketing. In the business world I know how to be effective and have had success and respect for years. In my efforts to start my own home business I find myself adrift, not really knowing what to do, and so I end up doing mostly non-productive actions. I would love to win and read “Crush It” to help me focus my passion for a personal business into productive action.
Came upon your website whilst looking at the Business Weeks America’s Best Young Entrepreneurs and I must say you were one of the main contestants who impressed me quite a bit. You have loads of energy and are truly a dynamic individual and I wish you continued success in your business endeavours. I am much older than you guys but I am still holding firm to the power of realising and manifesting my dreams -(started painting which is something I always loved and wanted to do). Like most of us we want to maximise our gifts and marketing oneself by using social media is definitely a move in the right direction. Thanks for your informed and well designed website. Keep up the good work!
i read crush it last week and though it was a good book, i was a bit disappointed as i don’t feel like i took anything away that was what i’d consider a groundbreaking approach to being an etnrepreneur. gary is all about passion like any good entrepreneur should be, but most of his focus is on leveraging all the social/web 2.0 tools we’re all familiar with, or ones that honestly are too small to warrant much time. his passion was wine and he even admits that he had a ghostwriter, and it comes across that way often times.
i just finished a couple great books i recommend: No More Mondays, Outliers and Superfreakonomics.
Great review! One of the things I really appreciated about Trust Agents was the responsible approach both authors took. After all, many of the examples are about how to be more efficient in “the system”. However, they make a very prominent note in the first part of the book that differentiates taking advantage of the system versus people. A misunderstanding of this could cause negative behavior.
